SUCCESS IS PERSONAL
Success does not come with a one size fits all label….
The dictionary explains success as ‘the accomplishment of an aim or purpose’, yet when we talk about someone being successful it usually focuses on wealth and status, BUT that can be a very limiting view of what success actually is.
When we sit with new or old business owners we talk about success a lot, success of the business, success of work life balance or success of replacing a current income from a job you wish to leave. This conversation can go many ways and it becomes quite clear that the image of success is personal.
Financial success is a common topic, and even this image can vary for clients. One client might see success as creating a business that has a million-dollar turnover within 2 years whilst another may see success as generating $100k a year from a new business idea, which enables them to ‘sack their boss’.
Freedom from the 9-5 is also high up on the success scale amongst our clients. The type of freedom that provides flexibility for a person to spend more time with family, take longer holidays without having to ask the boss or have extra time to spend on hobbies.
Business success can come in the form of generating a new product to the market or developing new concepts within their industry for example environmentally friendly products or experiences. In fact, success can be watching your business grow every year, gaining new customers, finding better ways to operate and providing better customer service as you grow.
Success is personal and that is why when working with our clients we like to establish early on their vision of success so that we can help them identify their KPI’s required to monitor their path to achieving THEIR success.
